What is an amber teething necklace?

Contrary to popular belief, an amber teething necklace isn’t a teether, and children should not chew on them, so there is not the choking risk you would normally associate with small beads.

Amber jewellery is often chosen by parents as a natural alternative to medications to help with the symptoms associated with teething.

This necklace has alternating chips of milk & butter, honey  and dark cherry.

Chip necklaces do not sit flat on the skin, so are not recommended for small babies.

 

So, how do they work?

Baltic Amber contains Succinic Acid, a natural analgesic.

When warmed by the skin, trace elements of healing oils are released and absorbed into the bloodstream, acting as a natural form of relief for teething babies.

Each piece of amber is individually double knotted on the strand and the necklace fastens with a screw clasp.

Children should not be able to get the necklace into their mouths, so it's important that you choose the right size.  Too often, people are sold necklaces that are completlet inapropriate for them to be wearing, so please consult our sizing guidlines before purchasing.

This item will be shipped free of charge in a bubble envelope.  If you are not purchasing any other items, choose "Amber jewellery – free shipping" at checkout to ensure free postage.  You can also add registered post for extra reassurance.

Please note that if your item is damaged in transit, Australia Post will not process any claims for jewellery unless they are sent via registered post.  Whilst we will pack them to the best of our abilities, we recommend you choose registered post to ensure you are covered in the event your item is damaged whilst in the postal system.
