This cute idea is a two step process. First, start off by making a cute kids “car” out of a cardboard box. Let your little one decorate it any way they wish. Cut out circles for the headlights, add stickers and insert a soft and cosy blanket inside. The box should not be too tall for them to see over the side when sitting in it. Tell them they are making this for a surprise that will come this weekend!
Fast forward to the weekend. Surprise them by having a drive-in movie night in your own home! Check out this photo.
This can be adapted to little kids around the age of 2 or 3 by using smaller boxes and even used during their first sleep over. Invite them to bring their favorite stuffed animal or doll too! This is a great way to combine some quiet family time with something creative and fun.
