Ok so the cakes from this post made really hungry so I am going to move on to themes.

Popular baby shower themes include:
- Seasonal. If you’re having a Christmas or Easter baby, seasonal theming is a slam-dunk. Get out the holly and tinsel or chocolate eggs and fluffy chickens and you’re all set to go.
- Hawaiian. (or French, Italian or Mexican…) Dressing your baby shower up to be something else – a luau, fiesta or rustic Italian feast – can be great fun and all decorating, food and invitation decisions are made for you!
- Nursery. A baby shower almost begs for nursery-style theming. You can use pastel shades, baby blocks, ABCs and 123s along with a liberal dose of Winnie the Pooh, Miffy or whoever your own childhood favourite characters were.
To me these are all a given. Easter baby equals easter theme…easy right? What if you are looking for another way to splash up a baby shower without making it tacky or boring.
How about throwing a spa themed baby shower? I went to one where they had a beauty consultant come in and give everyone a facial and we got to soak our feet in rose petals. Great idea AND the hostess got to get free gifts for doing this. Kind of like a party plan baby shower with a beauty or spa theme.
Another option is making it a mums shower. Do things mum likes…if she likes movies, make the theme movies! if she likes hiking and outdoorsy things then make sure you incorporate that into her party.
